Paddle Out exists to help you find the right camp for you - not just the one with the nicest pool.
Born from a thousand "where should I go?" messages.
Surf camps are my favourite type of holiday. I've been to camps where everything clicked - the coaching, the crew, the energy in the water. And I've been to camps where the accommodation was beautiful but the surf groups were mixed ability, the staff were disengaged, and I came home no better than when I left.
The information that would have helped me make that call just didn't exist anywhere. Existing booking sites rate the cleanliness of the toilets (which is still important!). Nobody was rating whether a coach could actually help an intermediate surfer break through a plateau, or whether a camp had a vibe that welcomed solo travellers and first-timers.
After years of being the person friends messaged for recommendations - and seeing the same questions come up over and over in online surf communities - I built Paddle Out to be the resource I always wished existed.

Our ratings are constantly evolving, shaped by feedback from real surfers about what they actually want to search for.
We'll also go beyond ratings. Long-form stories about what these experiences are really like - because surfing is good for the mind, body, and soul, and that deserves more than a star rating.
